Make Sure to Sew Trendy Projects With These Hints

How to Prepare for This Year's Fashion Trend

How to Prepare for This Year's Fashion Trend

We would want all our sewing projects this year to be at least go with the 2016 trend. Whether it's dresses, tops, or accessories. We monitored the fashion predictions as early as last year to find whether we need to start collecting new fabrics and laces for this year. Do you know what I found out? This year's going to be an easy breezy ride for sewing hobbyists like us if we want to get into the trend. Here's why:

1) It's all about satin

It's time to bring out all those satin fabrics you've been hiding for years just because they don't look too cool for 2015. However, for this year, several top notch fashion designers are already trying to push for the nightwear look, which means lots of light satin dresses with a little in of laces. The challenge now is in the sewing process, because we know how difficult it is to deal with satin.

2) Add shades of blue

Blue is 2016's lucky color. So for the first few months of the year, you'll definitely one to add something blue to your sewing projects. It may not necessarily be in the wardrobe, you can also explore adding the color to your homes through the curtains, blankets, pillows, etc. Oh! the ideas could go on!

3) Lightweight Denim

Casual denims will stay in 2016. However, based on the forecasts, it will be all about lighter denim fabrics, perfect for spring and summer. It's time to search your fabric collection for some of these 2016 staples. Always recycle before buying.
