Why a portable sewing machine is worth your penny

Is A Portable Sewing Machine Worth Your Penny?

Is A Portable Sewing Machine Worth Your Penny?

If you are sewing newbie like me, seeing cute sewing machines online can definitely be tempting. However, you may find yourself thinking whether these portable sewing machines can really live up to your sewing hobby.Well, I am happy to tell you that my sewing journey started with my very own portable sewing that I got for around $22 online. Today, a multi-functional mini sewing machine is between $25 - $30. Yes, its definitely worth that small investment! I must admit that those real, complex sewing machines still intimidate me until now. So unless I am in the mood for manual sewing, I can easily turn to my 2-year old portable sewing machine.

What can I sew with a portable sewing machine? Basically, almost anything that your imagination allows you to. Contrary to the usual beliefs, you can even use a portable sewing machine for sewing denim and silk. Since it's easier to handle, I find my output cleaner when using my machine. Some of the sewing items that I've already created so far are curtains, skater skirt, repaired shorts, and a number of blouses.

Can I also use it for arts and crafts? Definitely! I know that our sewing hobby is never complete without getting into some handicrafts. A portable sewing machine will always come handy, as well.

Is it really portable? Doubt no more! Portable sewing machines weight not more that 2 pounds! It could be even lighter than your gym bag.

I highly recommend getting your own portable sewing machine.
