Sewing Ideas from the Golden Globes 2015 Trends

While the rest of the cyberspace were raving about the wins and the snobs during this week’s Golden Globes, our eyes were all on the trends that the big stars wore to the red carpet and even during the after-parties that they attended to. Aside from the fashion shows that basically run at the end of the year, there’s no doubt about how this awards season from setting the fashion trend from this month forth.

So, what are the recurring trends from this year’s Golden Globes? We took a look!

Cut Outs

Well, we’ve already seen this coming. But the number of cut-out gowns from this year’s Golden Globes somehow reaffirmed that this trend meant to stay. Some stars opted for a more subtle cut-outs, while there were also designs where the cutouts definitely demanded attention. Cut outs are one of the best ways to emphasize the curves while also retaining the elegance of a gown. We’re expecting this trend to cross over into casual dresses, soon.

Cropped-top craze is not going away anytime, soon, and Golden Globes proved just that. Stars like Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Hudson, and Brie Larson all graced the red carpet with their beautiful cropped gowns. It only proved that wearing cropped top isn’t just for the laidback days, they certainly deserve a place in some major red carpets, too.

Winter White

All-white ensemble just never gets old and the Golden Globe Stars fabulously showed us how do wear it the 2016 way. Blue may this year’s color, but the number of celebrities walking the red carpet in their winter white gowns certainly wants to challenge the trend.

Plunging Necklines

While some opted to show their torso in their gown cut-outs, a lot of stars also chose to show their other assets with meticulously created low necklines for the Golden Globes. We are seeing this to go a long way, up until the Academy awards.
