When it comes to fashion, my two favorite things are: plains and dresses with sleeves. Before I was introduced to my sewing hobby, finding a beautiful combination of the two was a constantly struggle. Well, okay, sometimes I fall some pretty prints especially florals and polka dots, because who could resist these, right? However, most days, I can be really found with extremely solid outfits.
Fast forward to my sewing days, I initially started off by reading lots of blog inspirations specifically of working women like me. I first needed to learn how they manage their time, and eventually how they honed their sewing skills. I was just basically starting off with whatever fabric I have on my closet, and made lots of clothes for my nephews. While doing this, I constantly found myself wishing to make something for myself, something that I can proudly show off on my own blog, too.
That day finally happened when I stumbled on Cynthia Rowley patterns. I mean look at this pattern below:
When I first saw it I knew I had to see some more similar patterns like it, because it is exactly the set of clothes that I can imagine myself wearing every day. These patterns are really all about the elegance in simplicity, using high-quality fabric with solid colors. As for me, it allows me to play around with every pattern easily. And oh! Did I mention that Cynthia Rowley has lots of patterns for sleeved dresses, too? So it was really one of the easiest sewing choices for me.
When it comes to pattern personalization, these patterns are also highly flexible. As a matter of fact in my few months of working with it, I only have three patterns now, but have made almost 6 outputs already. When you are really good with patterns already, three patterns will definitely suffice for an entire closet.
