Telling Sign You Are Addicted To Sewing

Telling Sign You Are Addicted To Sewing

Many people, mostly women, love sewing. It is a hobby that people pick-up because it’s easy to do and very useful in your everyday life. It’s also very easy to have fun with it since you can learn many techniques to mix and match plus you get the added benefit of creating your own clothing designs.

The sewing hobby is fine and you might want to continue it since it does have a lot of benefits. But, there are instances when people show really odd behavior that are tell-tale signs that they are already addicted to sewing. Here are some of them:

  • Sewing plans – Schedules for sewing projects are created. Even while you are still working on a project you are planning the next one ahead of time.
  • Tatoo’s – This is a bit odd. But, there are some people who get a tattoo design that looks like a sewing pattern or shows their love for sewing.
  • Grumpy attitude – Hobbies are fun. But, sometime people can go overboard by being grumpy if they haven’t touched a fabric and needle for a long time.
  • Easily Influence by Marketing – Much like shopping, you get easily persuaded by sale tag lines and discount prices in your favorite sewing shop.
  • Sewing Gifts – You always want to receive gifts that will help you with your sewing hobby.
  • Sewing Trash – The fabric scraps you have are more than the average sewer.
  • Social Media Invasion – Your social media accounts are full of topics about sewing.
  • Home buddy – You would rather stay inside your house to sew and you haven’t gone out in a long time.
  • Large Sewing Circle – People from sewing shops know you. You attend a lot of sewing classes and are a member of a lot of sewing groups.
  • Sewing Blog – The blog that allows you to get out all the experiences, techniques learned, and the fun you have when you sew. It’s continually updated and you won’t stop soon.

Sewing is a good hobby to have. However, if you have said YES to all of these signs, maybe it’s time to scale back a little bit and experience life. Keep learning to sew and sharing your knowledge about sewing to your friends but don’t make it your life. There are other things to attend to.
